The Ultimate Nepal Luxury Holiday

We have shown the itinerary on the basis of a complete holiday purely for illustrative purposes. Naturally as tailor-made Nepal holiday specialists we would be happy to discuss additional options, whether it be other activities, more/less sightseeing, alternative/upgraded accommodation etc dependent upon your interests, preferences and time available. We even tailor-make a suggested 'what to pack' list for you based upon your ultimately chosen Nepal tailor-made holiday too.

Day 1- Arrive Kathmandu

Arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be met and receive a private transfer for the short distance into central Kathmandu and to the Dwarikas Hotel. You'll be given a pre-tour briefing and can then enjoy dinner at this wondrous hotel.

Accommodation: Dwarika's 5 Star Deluxe Heritage Hotel -  Kathmandu

Included Meals: None

Day 2 - Explore Kathmandu

After breakfast a private vehicle (with driver of course) will enable you to undertake a Guided Tour of the principle sights of Kathmandu. You'll first visit the sacred Hindu site of Pashupatinath on the banks of the Bagmati River. Next you'll head up to the Swayambunath hill top above Kathmandu, site of a Buddhist Stupa and Hindu monuments. Back into Kathmandu and to the Dwarikas owned Kaiser Cafe for lunch. In the afternoon your guide will take you on a walking tour of Kathmandu, including a visit to the Durbar Square. Late afternoon you'll visit the massive Buddhist Stupa at Bouddha and then your private vehicle will return you to Dwarikas.

Accommodation:  Dwarikas Hotel, Kathmandu

Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 3 - Medieval Bhaktapur

Mid-morning you'll be taken by private vehicle to the medieval city of Bhaktapur. The frenetic hoolabaloo of Kathmandu is now behind you as the old part of Bhaktapur is essentially a pedestrian area. As well as exploring the temples and squares of Bhaktapur, your Bhaktapur Guide will also take you on a backstreets exploration of Bhaktapur. Take a leisurely lunch in Bhaktapur and afterwards you'll be driven to the Newari town of Dhulikel and the fabulous Dwarikas Luxury Resort with great panoramic views of the Himalaya.

Accommodation: Dwarika's Luxury Resort & Himalayan Spa -   Dhulikel

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4- Panauti, Namobuddha and the rural Kathmandu Valley

Once again you'll have a private vehicle and also a guide in order to explore the rural delights of the Kathmandu Valley. You'll visit the ancient Hindu temples at Panauti, as well as the spiritual Buddhist location of Namobuddha. As this is an unhurried day there'll be plenty of time to stop and take a walk into the terraced farmlands, orchards and timeless villages of the Kathmandu Valley and to observe rural life.

Accommodation: Dwarikas Resort,  Dhulikel

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 5 - Panoramic Nagarkot

Whilst you'll have enjoyed magnificent Himalayan views from Dhulikel, it is the hill top resort of Nagarkot perched high on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley that is renowned for affording the most extensive and breathtaking views. After breakfast you'll be driven up the winding mountain road to Nagarkot, with the afternoon free to relax, stroll around and breathe the pure mountain air. You'll have a deluxe room here with a balcony facing the mountains.

Accommodation: Deluxe Room -  Country Villa Hotel       Nagarkot

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 - Himalayan Sunrise & Fly to Pokhara

Enjoy the breathtaking Himalayan sunrise and after an early breakfast it's down to the airport and the short flight to Pokhara. You'll be met upon arrival and driven by private vehicle to your lake side hotel set in a peaceful part of Pokhara. Now in a sub-tropical climate, the afternoon is free to enjoy the sun in one of Pokharas many laid back lake side cafes, or perhaps take a boat out onto the lake. Now that you're in Pokhara you might want to add on a couple more days here, or even do a spot of trekking. Check out our Annapurna Luxury Lodge Trek.

Accommodation: Palm Court Deluxe Room - Fishtail Lodge       Pokhara

Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 7 - To Chitwan

In the morning you'll journey by private vehicle out of the Himalayan foothills and down to the Gangetic Plains close to the border with India and to the Barahi Jungle Lodge. One alternative would be to take a rafting journey on the Seti River, overnight at the Ker & Downey River Camp, and continue to Chitwan by river and road. An extra day would be required to incorporate this. Depending upon the journey, you may arrive at Chitwan and be able to fit an early afternoon game drive.

Accommodation: Barahi Luxury Jungle Lodge  -    Chitwan

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8 - Chitwan Jungle Safari

A day of guided wildlife/jungle activities the Barahi way. Chitwan boasts a population over around 120 tigers!

It's just a short flight from the Chitwan region back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival you'll be transferred by private vehicle to Dwarikas with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Accommodation:  Dwarikas Hotel, Kathmandu

Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 10 - Everest Mountain Flight

An early start for the private transfer to the domestic terminal at Kathmandu Airport. Here you'll board one of the dramatic mountain flight aircraft (window seat guaranteed) that once airborne follows the Himalayan chain before heading into the Khumbu region and towards Everest. As well as Everest you'll see Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Gauri Shankar. Flight duration is around 45mins and returning to Kathmandu you've lots of time for souvenir hunting, relaxing by the pool at Dwarika's or some independent sightseeing. However, you may wish to consider some additional contingency for this trip, whether it be for any delays/cancellations that can and do occur for internal flights , or any difficulties that may arise.

Accommodation:  Dwarikas Hotel, Kathmandu

Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 11 - Depart Nepal

A private transfer will take you to the airport for your return international flight.
